EP.204 | Queen Boudicca: It's all about how you pronounce it

Well, well, well... Christa and Sage actually made it under one hour for a regular episode! But don't let that fool you, there was still lots of fun to be had. There were some tunes (I mean, you already knew that we wouldn't hold out on you with our voices ;)), amazing information about Queen Boudicca (one kick ass woman,) and some deep thoughts and tears.

The Applesauce & Horsefeathers duo may have not filled an entire hour up, but they did manage to talk about what a strong, bodacious woman Queen Boudicca was. Not much was know about her but we do know she kicked ass and took no prisoners. Thankfully Christa does most of the talking so Sage didn't have to mispronounce all the names. Wait a minute... was that on purpose?!

Starting out, Sage and Christa didn't dive right into Queen Boudicca because they weren't sure how to pronounce it all. Not sure they mentioned THIS one?

They did talk about Lewy Body Disease and Alzheimer's again. One recent study shows that just one flu shot was associated with a 17% reduction in Alzheimer's incidence!

Another recent study shows that a newly developed blood test can identify signs of Alzheimer's nearly 20 years before memory and thinking problems happen. Making progress!

In other news (or "common knowledge" as it is known in Los Angeles), parking in and around LA can suck big time. There are WAY too many signs in some spots, no wonder they give out so many parking tickets, who can make sense of all this? Here is one from Culver City.

Christa spoke about how Queen Boudicca must have influenced Queen Elizabeth I and talked about her Tilbury speech, you can read it HERE.

Here is a bodacious painting of Queen Boudicca :)

Sage couldn't concentrate on research so she watched this short video:

Did you know that there is a link between Queen Boudicca and Harry Potter? No, really!

For some reading fun you can check out https://bookshop.org/ where you can support local book shops when you buy your books! And if you want to check out used books, you can go over to https://www.thriftbooks.com/

If you've had enough reading for the day you can always watch a musical like Jesus Christ Superstar. Here's the song Sage was singing:

Ok, we have to go... Clover won't look at Christa anymore until she gets her tuna. This is serious!

Next time we'll explore dead people's houses!
